My answer to that would be yes, but…If you want to get into great shape, maybe the best shape of your life, I would say yes. If you’re tired of the gym and have some room at home than I would say yes. If you’re dedicated to getting healthier, more fit and stronger than I would say yes. If you’re ready to be (a little) sore, work your butt off and sweat a lot than I would say definitely do it. There is a certain amount of dedication and time involved in doing it, at least an hour 6 days a week for 13 weeks. But if you’re up for the challenge than I would highly recommend buying it and following the program. If you aren’t sure about your fitness level you can find the “fit test” online; it takes about 40 minutes to finish and will give you an idea of where you stand.
I’ve really enjoyed doing it and when I’m finished in a few weeks I may just go through the program again or I might modify it a bit so that I can run and ride more often. It’s been great to workout hard and know that I’m getting into better shape, getting healthier and that I’ll be able to keep up with my dad when we go hunting in the fall.
I’m definitely not the expert when it comes to fitness and I certainly don’t have the healthiest diet in the world (I’m getting ready for dinner at Qdoba as I write this.) But I do consider myself “average” when it comes to working out. Meaning there have been points in my life when I’ve been in good shape and not so good shape, there have been times when I worked out a lot and when I didn’t work out at all. There have been times when I said “man I wish I was in better shape.” I have days when I’m highly motivated to workout and other days when I have to force myself to do it. I imagine that most of us have gone through these stages at one point or another when it comes to fitness. And that right there is why I’m the perfect example…if I can do it I KNOW you can do it.
Maybe when I’m done I’ll post my before and after photos…(but maybe not.)
