For any of the photographers who are members of MHP I think (hope) you’ve seen some of the benefits to your life as a photographer. From meeting other photographers in the area to our monthly meetings and the shoots we’ve put on I know that MHP has been such a huge success…I know it’s helped us grow as people. One of my favorite aspects to MHP, though, are the small groups and mini workshops that have popped up. This morning a few of us got together and Eric Bakken shared some of what he’s learned about SEO. He wans’t charging any money for it, he wasn’t doing it to make a name for himself…he was doing it in the true spirit of sharing. And that’s at the heart of what MHP is; sharing what you’ve learned with other photographers to help us all grow and become stronger. There are still people out there who haven’t bought into this way of thinking yet, and I feel bad for them.
Paige Elizabeth was there this morning and made an awesome statement about finding the things that we can teach others and offeirng some kind of mini-workshop around that. Paige has been offering Lightroom workshops to help photographers get out from behind their computer. I think her challenge to all of us is a great one and it’s a challenge I’m going to embrace. So my questoin to you is…”what can you offer to our community of photographers?”
