Earlier this month Andrew and I headed up to Estes Park, Colorado to photograph Elizabeth and Larry’s fall wedding at the Della Terra Mountain Chateau.  It was our first time photographing at Della Terra, and can I just say…that place is awesome!  Backing up to Rocky Mountain National Park, it’s the perfect location for a Colorado mountain wedding.  We listened the the elk bugling all morning long…and even had a few deer join in the wedding day festivities!  Elizabeth and Larry’s wedding was spectacular, filled with so many wonderful fall-inspired details.  It was difficult to narrow down the pictures – so this is Part 1 of their blog post!

Elizabeth and Larry – it was such a great pleasure to witness you pledge your love to each other and we feel so very fortunate to have gotten to know you!  On with the pictures…Enjoy! :)

Elizabeth’s shoes were to die for!  The couple decided to engrave each others rings – but promised to keep the engravings secret from each other until after the wedding.  As I was photographing their rings before the ceremony I took a peek at the engravings on each of their rings…”I love you to the moon and back” was etched on the interior of both rings.  They had each chosen the same saying to engrave on the others ring.  Do you think they are meant to be together or what?!?

Elizabeth’s hair flower and the ring “pillow”…the ring pillow was a joint handmade effort between the bride and groom.  Elizabeth sketched the two lovebirds and Larry used the wood burner to etched the design into the wood.  I love the bow tie…great addition, Elizabeth! :)

Lisa Anderson with Sweet Pea Flowers did an incredible job with all of the florals for the wedding!

Larry’s tie had the same tree design that was used for the ceremony programs…and I love the hanging pumpkins that Sweet Pea Flowers made!

The couple opted to see each other before the ceremony for a few pictures…I love this whole sequence from their “first look”.

Larry had all of his vows memorized…but Elizabeth stole all of the laughs when she reached into Larry’s suit pocket for her vows! :)

I don’t think either of their parents could be any happier! :)

The couple planted a tree in remembrance of their union as the last reading was read…
