Andrew and I met Liz and Kris up in Breckenridge to shoot their engagement pictures this past Saturday and I think we’re still laughing! Liz and Kris are so full of life and laughter and we couldn’t be more excited for their wedding! They’ll be getting married in Golden this February. Here are a few of our favorites from the session…

I love the way Liz is looking at Kris in the picture on the left.

I love all of the little alleys up in Breckenridge.

Where it all started…

They’re such a cute couple!

After shooting in town we headed up towards Boreas Pass to get some sweet mountain views. Meet Dusty…Liz and Kris’ adorable dog.

Liz and Kris – Thanks for keeping us entertained and we can’t wait for the wedding!

We had a blast taking Joel and Katie’s engagement pictures in downtown Denver. Joel is a college friend of ours and when we met Katie for the first time, we knew that he had found his perfect match! Joel and Katie are getting married this summer in Minnesota and we can’t wait – it’s going to be such a great wedding! Here are a few of our favorites from their engagement session…

I love the expression on Katie’s face in this picture. So peaceful and content.

Joel and Katie – thanks for heading out in the cold with us to take these pictures! We can’t wait for July!

SNOW, Snow, snow…Colorado weather is always a bit of a crap shoot. We were supposed to take Jon and Mollie’s engagement pictures a couple of weeks ago, but we got a big snow storm in Denver and had to cancel. We agreed to shoot this weekend…rain, snow or shine – and snow it did! Jon is one of Andrew’s best friends, so we feel very privileged to be shooting their wedding in Little Rock, Arkansas in January. We’re so excited for the wedding – it’s going to be a blast! Here are a few of our favorites from the session…
First, we headed over to Cheesman Park. The snow continued to fall harder and harder…but it made for some cool pictures. Needless to say, we were all soaking wet very quickly!

Later in the evening we headed out to downtown Denver for the rest of the engagment session. The snow continued to fall, but Jon and Mollie were such troopers! We started at Union Station and then wandered the streets.

I love this series! So cute!

Andrew and I played around with some off camera lighting.

Love this one of them walking down the alley.

Jon and Mollie – congratulations! We couldn’t be happier for you and we are so excited for your wedding! Thanks for putting up with all of our silly requests in the cold and snow! :)

It’s such a small world! After engagement sessions we always try to take our clients out to dinner to get to know them a bit better before the big day. While sitting at dinner with Sara and Kevin we realized that Kevin and Andrew went to the same high school and that Sara grew up in the neighborhood near the school that I taught at for the past 4 years before I joined Andrew full-time with photography. Sara and Kevin were so much fun to photograph and we are so excited for their wedding next May at the Boettcher Mansion. We ventured near downtown Denver for this engagement session and were lucky with some great light and perfect weather…a photographer’s dream! Here are a few of our favorites from the session…
I love the sun flare in this picture that Andrew took.

Playing around the railroad tracks…probably not the safest idea, but oh well! It was obviously worth it! :)

More sun flare with the South Platte River behind Sara and Kevin.

We had a big snow storm in Denver right before this engagement shoot…luckily almost all of the snow had melted in town, so Sara and Kevin were able to sit in some of the tall grasses.

How cute are they!

I love the way the sun is lighting up the grass in front of them in these two pictures.

Sara has the most beautiful freckles! I envy that!

Sara and Kevin, we are so excited for the wedding! It’s easy to see when two people are deeply and madly in love…it’s written all over their faces – and it’s definitely written all over the both of yours! You were so much fun to photograph and we can’t wait for the big day! :)

Andrew and I are so lucky! We get to work with some amazing couples on the happiest of days…what more could you ask for? Ashley and Kendall are no exception…their fun-loving and playful relationship is a wonderful reminder of why we have the best job in the world! These are two absolutely genuine people…they even made us some delicious cookies! :)
We met Ashley and Kendall on Halloween day up in Breckenridge to shoot their engagement pictures. The weather was perfect and the town of Breckenridge acted as a beautiful backdrop for some fun and relaxed portraits of this wonderful couple. Ashley and Kendall are getting married in Breckenridge and are having their reception at Ten Mile Station and we couldn’t be more excited for their wedding. Here are a few of our favorites from the session…

I love shoe shots! Plus…Ashley had on some pretty adorable shoes!

This was a fun spot in the town of Breckenridge. Andrew and I were trying to not get run over as we were standing in the street to get some of these shots. Hey…we go all out, baby! :)

Love, love, love this one of them. The almost kiss is always the sexiest!

They are such a cute couple…seriously!

Showing the “rock” baby!

I love this series of pictures of them sitting in front of the store…they were all smiles and laughs.

After shooting some pictures in town, we headed up to Boreas Pass to take some more pictures. This was a beautiful spot with the mountains in the background and the snow on the ground. It wasn’t hard to take some great pictures up there!

I love their expressions in this one.

Walking in the snow. Ashley traded in her cute flats for some adorable boots!

This is one of my favorite shots…I love the way they are looking at each other.

More walking in the snow.

Ashley and Kendall, you did a great job and we love your pictures! We are so excited for the wedding! And thanks again for the yummy cookies…you’re too nice!

It’s been over a month since we took Lisa and Mike’s engagement pictures at Red Rocks and we’re just now getting around to blogging about it! How pathetic are we! The weather was beautiful as we ventured out to meet Lisa and Mike at Red Rocks…and we knew the views would be incredible. We had a blast taking pictures with Lisa and Mike and their adorable puppy Hanna. Here are a few of our favorites from the session.
Mike, Lisa and Hanna…how cute is this dog?

They are such a great looking couple…seriously!

There’s Hanna again!

I love this picture…see what I mean about the incredible views at Red Rocks.

If you look carefully, Hanna is following along right behind Lisa and Mike…how cute is that?

More pictures with the pretty red rocks…

Doesn’t Hanna look like she’s smiling in this one?

We then headed over to the Red Rocks Trading Post for more great views. The Trading Post would be a sweet place for a wedding. If you’re getting married at the Trading Post, give us a call…we’d love to shoot there!

It was almost prime time for the beautiful Colorado fall colors. I love this one that Andrew captured with the pretty yellow tree behind Lisa and Mike.

On the lawn in the backyard of the Trading Post.

Lisa and Mike, you did a great job! We hope that you love your pictures as much as we do!

I really love when brides to be call us immediately after getting engaged. That means they’re excited about getting married and excited about planning their wedding and excited about their new life as husband and wife. These are the couples that we love working with (and have been lucky enough to work with) and Cassie and Nate are the epitome of the perfect couple. They are getting married in Denver next summer but wanted to go to Vail for some engagement pictures…so we happily obliged. Cassie had been to the Vail Village recently and loved the colors and the excitement of the area. They even brought their dog Lily with them and she couldn’t have been easier to photograph. Here’s only a few of our favorites from the day…

Rachel and Ben will be getting married in November but we decided to take adavantage of the awesome weather for their engagment session. We met them at the Denver Art Museum and shot around that area for a few hours and then grabbed some dinner together. They both have a great sense of humor and had us laughing all night. Here’s a few of our favorites…

I’m out in Philadelphia right now for Marcus and Lynn’s wedding and having a great time. Marcus is one of my best friends from college which makes the week even more exciting. The wedding is going to be amazing and the scenery here in Philly is great (so is the weather right now.) We went out today for a quick session…here’s a few of my favorites.

We photographed Emily and Paul last Friday. Monday-Thursday it was between 65 and 70 degrees everyday. Friday it was about 25 degrees and snowy. Even though it was quite cold I think it made the pictures even better and then when it snowed for a little while we were pretty excited. We headed up near Morrison to get some outdoor shots and then into the town of Morrison for dinner and a few more shots. Our job is so exciting and the reason we love it is because of couples like Emily and Paul. We had never met them until that day but it seemed like we were old friends, they were totally comfortable in front of the camera and we had a great night. Their wedding is at the Boettcher Mansion in May and we can’t wait for it. As always here’s a few of our favorites from the day…

We were near Red Rocks, but obviously not at Red Rocks. If you want to know where we were just leave a comment and I’ll tell you.

Jessica got this great shot as they walked by.

Jessica also got this image and it was one of my favorites from the day.

It took us awhile to get this one just right, but it’s definitely one of my favorites.

Another amazing moment that Jessica captured. You can see it’s starting to snow pretty hard.

Thanks Emily and Paul for toughing it out in the snow. We had a great time and we can’t wait for your wedding.
