I really love when brides to be call us immediately after getting engaged. That means they’re excited about getting married and excited about planning their wedding and excited about their new life as husband and wife. These are the couples that we love working with (and have been lucky enough to work with) and Cassie and Nate are the epitome of the perfect couple. They are getting married in Denver next summer but wanted to go to Vail for some engagement pictures…so we happily obliged. Cassie had been to the Vail Village recently and loved the colors and the excitement of the area. They even brought their dog Lily with them and she couldn’t have been easier to photograph. Here’s only a few of our favorites from the day…

Kim and Patrick were married in Estes Park at Taharaa Mountain Lodge nad we were very lucky to be a part of it. They had an outdoor ceremony (no rain) and it was so special because Patrick’s parents both got up and did a reading…in fact his dad read a poem that he had written for the two of them. Now that’s just cool. Estes Park is such an amazing place for a wedding and we had time to drive to Lily Lake for a few pictures of Kim and Patrick.

Here’s a few favorites from the day…

Patrick’s best man had a great smile.

I love this shot that Jessica captured of Kim…I wonder what she was thinking.

They had a beautiful ceremony site at Taharaa Mountain Lodge

We made it over to Lily Lake to get some pictures of just Kim and Patrick.

I love the expression on their faces in this one.

She couldn’t stay awake for the whole reception…

Congratulations Kim and Patrick and we wish you a happy future together.

Michelle and Adam were married at The Boettcher Mansion and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day (even with some rain.) Seriously what’s the deal with all the rain this year? But right after the ceremony the skies cleared and we were able to get some amazing images with the two of them. Even running around in the middle of the street (which you shouldn’t try at home.) We love working with couples who totally trust us to create great images and Michelle and Adam were no exception. They put their whole faith and trust in us to create a perfect experience for them on their wedding day.

Here’s a few of our favorite images from the day…

I love the look on Michelle’s face in this picture…

It’s always funny to watch guys get ready…

You have to love a man in a nice plaid jacket…he also gave a great toast during the reception.

It rained a little during the ceremony but it didn’t matter at all. One of their friends beautifully played the guitar and sang during the cereomny.

I love when you can see the pure joy and happiness in a couples interaction.

My absolute favorite image from their wedding. Jess told them to go walk in the street and then she captured this great moment. My wife is super talented.

Rachel and Ben will be getting married in November but we decided to take adavantage of the awesome weather for their engagment session. We met them at the Denver Art Museum and shot around that area for a few hours and then grabbed some dinner together. They both have a great sense of humor and had us laughing all night. Here’s a few of our favorites…

Briana and Dave were married at the Boettcher Mansion a few weeks ago and we were so lucky to be a part of the day. We only met them two days before the wedding but it didn’t matter becasue they were just the type of couple that we love working with. Relaxed and excited about the day…I didn’t see them stress about anything and I know they had a great time. And that’s what makes for a great wedding. Not stressing about all the little details but enjoying the day and enjoying the people who are there to celebrate with you.

Briana writes a weekly column for the Elizabeth Anne Blog so we got to see her style and we had a great understanding of what they wanted their wedding to be. Briana did a lot of the work on her own and everything turned out so perfectly. So here are the rest of the images from their awesome wedding.

Briana had all of her bridesmaids sign the bottom of her shoes. At the end of the night the name that’s left is the next person to get married.

Briana and Dave saw each other before the ceremony and it was such a nice moment. I love this moment that Jessica caught right as Dave is peeking at Briana.

Dave had a great group of groomsmen.

I don’t think they could have been a more gorgeous couple.

And they had an amazing bridal party.

Whenever you have a donkey statue and a bunch of guys you just have to check it out. I’m not sure what they’re doing to that donkey…

You could very obviously see the connection between them.

She was writing her speech right before the ceremony and it turned out amazing.

I’m standing righ next to her but I don’t think I have any idea what she’s thinking…she’s probably ready to be married.

I love how she’s looking at him during the ceremony.

I already posted the green shoes but they’re worth seeing again.

And again…

Briana really took the time to make sure every detail was just perfect…and it really showed.

Congratulations to Briana and Dave!

We photograpehd Briana and Dave’s amazing wedding yesterday at the Boettcher Mansion…there are so many more pictures to come including some of the funniest bridal party pictures. But in the meantime here’s a few of our favorites…

I love weddings where the bride and groom can’t stop smiling…I love weddings where the bride and groom both cry…I love weddings where the bride and groom keep giving each other “that look” all day long…I love weddings where the groom’s dad is his best man…I love weddings where the bride’s dad gives a heartfelt toast…I love weddings where God, faith and love are the centerpieces…I love weddings that are perfect…this is why I loved Emily and Paul’s wedding…it was amazing and incredible…they were by each others side all night…they are perfect for each other…they both wrote their own vows…they made each other cry…they love and care for each other…they are completely committed to one another and are ready to start their life together…thanks for letting us take part in such a magical, emotional and perfect day…

Great moment between Emily and her bridesmaids

WOW! Gorgeous!

I love when the groom cries.

This is my new favorite image that Jessica captured.

We had amazing light and Emily and Paul allowed us to capture some amazing images.

I love how she’s looking at him here.

I love how he’s looking at her here.

I love how she’s looking at him here…

and here…

and here…

Doug and Lori had an amazing wedding in the fog and rain at the Boetthcer Mansion recently and we were so happy to be a part of it. (Even the rain couldn’t dampen the excitement…even if it did leave my clothes pretty wet.) When we met Doug and Lori last year we could tell right away how much they loved each other and how happy they were to be getting married. We love working with couples who are so obviously meant for each other.

Here’s a few of our favorites from the day…fog and all.

The umbrellas were a nice touch…and came in very handy.

These 3 kids couldn’t have been funnier not to mention they did a great job.

The fog made for some really amazing images…

I’m going to continue posting some of our favorites from last year as well as the couples favorite from their wedding, with their own words.

Sanya and Grant were married in Golden Gate Canyon State Park last summer in an intimate and beautiful ceremony. We then drove back down to the Boulderado Hotel for their reception. Sanya and Grant don’t live in Colorado so they and all of their guests traveled here for the wedding. We also didn’t have a chance to meet Grant until the wedding day but it wasn’t an issue at all. We had talked with Sanya many times and they had a great idea of the style of our work and how we go about creating it. They were just as comfortable with us as if we had known each other for many years.

Here is one of (many of) their favorites from the wedding day and what they had to say about it…”This is one of many beautiful candid moments caught by Andrew and Jessica on our wedding day. They were extremely professional and worked hard all day to capture each aspect of the day. We loved it that they were always one step ahead of us – they always seemed to be there, in the background, when key moments happened. They provided us with a collection of photographs that we absolutely love and will cherish for the rest of our lives.”

This was one of my favorites from their wedding day…

I love this picture because it wasn’t posed or setup and Sanya and Grant had no idea I was taking it. They were coming down the stairs to enter the reception and I just happened to capture it perfectly.

Have a great weekend and remember to stay positive! (Blog post about that coming soon.)

We photographed Emily and Paul last Friday. Monday-Thursday it was between 65 and 70 degrees everyday. Friday it was about 25 degrees and snowy. Even though it was quite cold I think it made the pictures even better and then when it snowed for a little while we were pretty excited. We headed up near Morrison to get some outdoor shots and then into the town of Morrison for dinner and a few more shots. Our job is so exciting and the reason we love it is because of couples like Emily and Paul. We had never met them until that day but it seemed like we were old friends, they were totally comfortable in front of the camera and we had a great night. Their wedding is at the Boettcher Mansion in May and we can’t wait for it. As always here’s a few of our favorites from the day…

We were near Red Rocks, but obviously not at Red Rocks. If you want to know where we were just leave a comment and I’ll tell you.

Jessica got this great shot as they walked by.

Jessica also got this image and it was one of my favorites from the day.

It took us awhile to get this one just right, but it’s definitely one of my favorites.

Another amazing moment that Jessica captured. You can see it’s starting to snow pretty hard.

Thanks Emily and Paul for toughing it out in the snow. We had a great time and we can’t wait for your wedding.
