Andrew and I have recovered from our amazing trip to Little Rock, Arkansas for Jon and Mollie’s wedding. After shooting their engagement pictures in a near blizzard…we were sure that their wedding day would have nice weather. Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday were sunny and warm…but Saturday was cold and rainy! :( No worries though, Jon and Mollie were such great troopers and we were able to get some amazing pictures outside in the rain! Jon and Mollie are two of our closest friends…in fact, Andrew was one of the groomsmen! They were married at the Albert Pike Hotel and we feel so blessed to have witnessed the union of two incredible people. We are so excited to see where life takes them and to be a part of the many adventures to come. Here are a few of our favorites from their big day…

Mollie found this beautiful wedding dress at Anna Be in Denver, Colorado. The Little Black Dress Brigade did a fabulous job with the flowers for the wedding.

Mollie’s vintage veil was a bit of a pain to get pinned in…but it turned out just perfect!

The first look. I love Jon’s expression in the picture on the left.

Love this one that Andrew captured as they saw each other for the first time.

There was a really cool building across the street from the Albert Pike Hotel…it provided us with some coverage from the rain!

Hilarious! Mollie wore Patagonia socks with her adorable flats! It’s as if she was born to live in Colorado! We love it! :)

Mollie you are stunning!

One of my favorite series from the day.

Walking in the streets.

In front of the Albert Pike Hotel.

The wedding party…Andrew is in the middle right.

The girls.

The guys…

Andrew’s big debut…his first appearance in a wedding! (Other than our own of course!) But he couldn’t out-do Mollie and her Dad!

The Albert Pike Hotel offered a dramatic background for their ceremony and reception.

First dance…

Andrew giving a toast…

All the guys…

The getaway…

Jon and Mollie – thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day. We couldn’t be happier for you both and we can’t wait to see what life brings your way!

Much Love ~ Jessica

Andrew and I head back to Denver tomorrow. Our stay here in Little Rock for Jon and Mollie’s wedding at the Albert Pike Hotel has been nothing short of amazing. Being surrounded by wonderful friends and witnessing the union of two of our very dear friends made for an outstanding time. We’ll leave you with a couple of pictures of the happy couple. Check back in a couple of days to see more of Jon and Mollie’s wedding pictures.

Andrew and I met Liz and Kris up in Breckenridge to shoot their engagement pictures this past Saturday and I think we’re still laughing! Liz and Kris are so full of life and laughter and we couldn’t be more excited for their wedding! They’ll be getting married in Golden this February. Here are a few of our favorites from the session…

I love the way Liz is looking at Kris in the picture on the left.

I love all of the little alleys up in Breckenridge.

Where it all started…

They’re such a cute couple!

After shooting in town we headed up towards Boreas Pass to get some sweet mountain views. Meet Dusty…Liz and Kris’ adorable dog.

Liz and Kris – Thanks for keeping us entertained and we can’t wait for the wedding!

We had a blast taking Joel and Katie’s engagement pictures in downtown Denver. Joel is a college friend of ours and when we met Katie for the first time, we knew that he had found his perfect match! Joel and Katie are getting married this summer in Minnesota and we can’t wait – it’s going to be such a great wedding! Here are a few of our favorites from their engagement session…

I love the expression on Katie’s face in this picture. So peaceful and content.

Joel and Katie – thanks for heading out in the cold with us to take these pictures! We can’t wait for July!

Andrew and I are quite possibly two of the biggest Christmas fanatics on the face of the earth! As I type right now, we have three inflatable lawn decorations lit up in front of our house…Santa, Melvin the Reindeer and the newest edition – a Christmas tree! (Don’t ask…I don’t remember which one of us decided on the name Melvin!) This holiday season we were trying to think of something thoughtful we could do for all of our wedding clients from 2009 and the couples that have already hired us for 2010 – the first thought that came to my mind was Christmas cookies. So the quest began…400 cookies…and several days later, we have baked, decorated, boxed and finally shipped our little creations to our clients. (I’m giving Andrew WAY more credit than he deserves…but he did a good job of being my taste-tester. If your box feels a bit empty – blame him!) I thought I would share some pictures of our final products…

Clockwise from top left – Chocolate Dipped and Chocolate Swirled Cookies, Butterscotch Crunchies, Walnut Snowflake Cookies, Chocolate Chip/Peanut Butter Chip Cookies, and lastly Sugar Coated Dome Cookies (center).

For our 2009 – 2010 wedding clients, we hope the cookies make it to you in one piece! ENJOY! :)

Much Love – Jessica

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been one year since we photographed Becky and Kevin’s wedding at the Chapel at Red Rocks and the Oxford Hotel. When Becky contacted us to see if we would like to take some pictures of them one year later…we were ecstatic! Becky and Kevin’s personalities seem to compliment each other perfectly…and life will soon change for them in a very big way. Becky is 5 months pregnant, expecting their first baby! Andrew and I always love when our past wedding clients continue to contact us as their families begin to grow. We feel truly blessed to be working with such incredible couples and families who graciously open their lives to us…even for just a brief moment of time. Here are a few of our favorites from the session…

We headed back up to Red Rocks…and just like their wedding day – it was COLD! But they braved the weather for us again! :)

They are such an adorable couple!

Becky’s “budda belly”…she’s looking pretty darn good for being 5 months pregnant!

WINDY!

I love this picture that Andrew captured!

There’s that cute belly again! :)

Becky and Kevin – thank you for again allowing us to photograph an important moment in your lives! We can’t wait to meet the new addition to the family!

Today marks the one year wedding anniversary for Becky and Kevin! It’s hard to believe that a year ago that we photographed this fun-loving couple! We met Becky and Kevin up at Red Rocks yesterday and took some anniversary pictures of the two of them. Check back in a couple of days to see some of their pictures! In the mean time, here are a few of our favorites from their wedding last November…

Becky and Kevin got ready at the beautiful Oxford Hotel in downtown Denver.

Becky…you are stunning! Many of our current clients, family and friends refer to you as “the gorgeous bride with the bright red lips”…just thought you might like to know that! :)

I love this one that Andrew captured of Kevin hugging his Mom right as the ceremony was about to begin. The expression in her face is priceless!

Becky and Kevin were married at the Chapel at Red Rocks. It snowed off and on during the day, leaving the Red Rocks area with the perfect dusting of snow.

Becky and Kevin were such troopers…playing out in the cold with us all day long! Thanks guys! :)

Two of my favorites from the day…

Becky dancing in the streets in front of the Oxford Hotel where they had their reception.

In the alley next to the Oxford Hotel…practicing a little off camera lighting.

During the toasts…

Their first dance…

Becky and Kevin – Happy Anniversary! We think the world of you both and we wish you many more years of happiness!

We photographed Rachel and Ben’s beautiful wedding at the Boettcher Mansion about two weeks ago and had a fantastic time! It was a perfect November day in Golden, Colorado…sunny and warm! Rachel and Ben were even able to have their wedding out on the beautiful patio at the Boettcher Mansion. With Colorado weather being somewhat unpredictable…that’s quite the achievement! Rachel and Ben were calm and collected all day, making our jobs so very easy! Here are a few (ok…more than a few) of our favorites from the day…

Rachel had a gorgeous dress! I always love shooting all of the detail pictures during the day.

I’m also addicted to shoes…so taking pictures of pretty shoes is always fun for me! :)

Ben getting ready with the rest of the guys…

Rachel’s sister helped her with her makeup…she did a great job!

Rachel’s mom helping her into her dress…

Rachel and her Dad walking down the aisle…

Ben got a bit teary-eyed during the ceremony :)

The back patio at the Boettcher Mansion.

I always love looking at the guests expressions as the couple walks back down the aisle!

Rachel and Ben had a great wedding party. I think the guys were going for the “Anchorman” jump here…looks good! :)

The happy couple!

Love this sequence that Andrew captured…

Some of the details of the reception…I love the coffee beans that they used in the candle holders. What a fun idea!

Rather than having a traditional wedding cake, Rachel and Ben had an assortment of delicious cookies! YUM! :)

The first dance…so sweet!

Rachel and Ben – thank you so much for allowing us to be part of your special day! You were so much fun to work with! We wish you all the best!

SNOW, Snow, snow…Colorado weather is always a bit of a crap shoot. We were supposed to take Jon and Mollie’s engagement pictures a couple of weeks ago, but we got a big snow storm in Denver and had to cancel. We agreed to shoot this weekend…rain, snow or shine – and snow it did! Jon is one of Andrew’s best friends, so we feel very privileged to be shooting their wedding in Little Rock, Arkansas in January. We’re so excited for the wedding – it’s going to be a blast! Here are a few of our favorites from the session…

First, we headed over to Cheesman Park. The snow continued to fall harder and harder…but it made for some cool pictures. Needless to say, we were all soaking wet very quickly!

Later in the evening we headed out to downtown Denver for the rest of the engagment session. The snow continued to fall, but Jon and Mollie were such troopers! We started at Union Station and then wandered the streets.

I love this series! So cute!

Andrew and I played around with some off camera lighting.

Love this one of them walking down the alley.

Jon and Mollie – congratulations! We couldn’t be happier for you and we are so excited for your wedding! Thanks for putting up with all of our silly requests in the cold and snow! :)

Andrew and I just photographed our last wedding of 2009! It’s been awhile since Rachel and Ben’s engagement session…but we knew their wedding was going to be a blast! Rachel and Ben were married at the Boettcher Mansion this past weekend and we got a lot of great pictures that we’ll share soon. Here are just a few of our favorites from the day…Enjoy!

The Boettcher Mansion is a great location for any wedding or event. You get that rustic, Colorado mountain feel while still being close to Denver. Definitely go check out their website!
