Today marks the one year wedding anniversary for Becky and Kevin! It’s hard to believe that a year ago that we photographed this fun-loving couple! We met Becky and Kevin up at Red Rocks yesterday and took some anniversary pictures of the two of them. Check back in a couple of days to see some of their pictures! In the mean time, here are a few of our favorites from their wedding last November…

Becky and Kevin got ready at the beautiful Oxford Hotel in downtown Denver.

Becky…you are stunning! Many of our current clients, family and friends refer to you as “the gorgeous bride with the bright red lips”…just thought you might like to know that! :)

I love this one that Andrew captured of Kevin hugging his Mom right as the ceremony was about to begin. The expression in her face is priceless!

Becky and Kevin were married at the Chapel at Red Rocks. It snowed off and on during the day, leaving the Red Rocks area with the perfect dusting of snow.

Becky and Kevin were such troopers…playing out in the cold with us all day long! Thanks guys! :)

Two of my favorites from the day…

Becky dancing in the streets in front of the Oxford Hotel where they had their reception.

In the alley next to the Oxford Hotel…practicing a little off camera lighting.

During the toasts…

Their first dance…

Becky and Kevin – Happy Anniversary! We think the world of you both and we wish you many more years of happiness!

We’ve been a bit behind on blogging about some of our last weddings! But the snowy Colorado weather is definitely keeping us inside with no excuse to get caught up on some work. So I thought I would start with one of our weddings from August. When we first met Courtney and Dave we knew their wedding was going to be nothing short of amazing – and amazing it was! The chic and contemporary Magnolia Hotel located in downtown Denver acted as both the ceremony and reception spot for Courtney and Dave’s dream wedding. Here are a few of our favorite pictures from their big day…

Courtney’s dress was so beautiful. I love the feeling of anticipation when you see the bridal gown laid out and waiting for the bride…so fun!

Andrew and I are lucky to have jobs that don’t really feel like “work”. We love taking pictures and working with great couples. That being said, Andrew never seems like he is “working” in quite the same way that I am…for example, he gets to hang out with the guys in LoDo while they go shopping for cigars…

Here’s Dave looking so calm and relaxed before the big day!

But I can’t complain too much…I love taking all of the fun detail shots of the brides as she is getting her hair and makeup done. Here’s Courtney looking absolutely stunning!

I took this picture as we were just about to head outside for some formal shots of the girls. I love this one of Courtney’s Mom looking over her shoulder. Momma looks so proud – and I’m sure she is! :)

The Magnolia Hotel is a photographer’s dream. There is no shortage of interesting places to take pictures. This one is with all of the girls in Harry’s Bar…located in the Magnolia Hotel. I love the circular details on the ceiling…very fun!

Another plus of being in downtown Denver…you don’t have to travel far to find that interesting contrast between the grungy alleyways and the beautiful bridesmaids.

Love it…

Here is Courtney and Dave’s little guy Landon…hanging out with a buddy before the ceremony. Such a cutie!

I love this one that Andrew caught just before the guys headed downstairs for the ceremony.

All the girls trying to help with the veil.

Dave and Landon waiting for Courtney to walk down the aisle. He was so excited!

Andrew shot this one of Courtney and her Dad walking down the stairs towards the aisle. So dramatic!

Momma crying…so sweet!

The happy family!

The wedding party…I love the black dresses! It looks so classy and it really makes the flowers pop!

So adorable together!

Tucked into a snug at the Magnolia Hotel.

I love the way she’s looking at him as they are about to head into the reception…

The reception was held across the street in the Magnolia Ballroom…I snapped this picture through the glass window.

Cute kids!

The first dance…

bouquet toss…

and the garter toss…so funny!

Courtney and Dave…thank you for allowing us to be part of your special day! Your obvious love for eachother and infectious laughs made our job so easy! We wish you the absolute best!

On a side note, for anyone interested in getting married in Denver…check out the Magnolia Hotel. This swanky hotel is one of a kind and sure to not disappoint! Give us a call if you’re getting married at the Magnolia – we’d love to work there again!

Enjoy the snow!

We met Nikki and Jared a few weeks before the wedding and immediately hit it off. We always want to work with laid-back and relaxed couples who are just excited about their wedding day…that was Nikki and Jared. All they wanted was to have fun with their friends and family, enjoy the day together and enjoy each other. I really love weddings where a lot of people cry…and they don’t care about showing their emotions and being happy for the couple. And just about everyone in the wedding party cried…not to mention how many of the other guests were wiping tears away.

They had the wedding at the Grant-Humphreys Mansion on Cap Hill and it was the perfect location for a great celebration and party. Here’s a few of our favorite images from the day…

A kid named Huckleberry in a tux is always a good idea…

You must have the appropriate adult beverages for a wedding…

Jared had a great group of guys to spend the day with him.

Nikki was absolutely stunning.

And she was also totally herself on the wedding day.

She had a great group of bridesmaids (thanks Lisa for referring us.)

Nikki and Jared had the most emotional ceremony that I have ever attended.

Especially when Nikki had a special message for Jared’s daughter.

There was hardly a dry eye at the whole wedding.

I love the when the happiness and excitement between a couple is so obvious.

The kids got to throw out all the glow sticks before the band started playing.

Our last wedding of 2008 was Becky and Kevin’s at The Oxford Hotel and it was a perfect ending to our wedding season. We’d only met Becky once before the wedding but it didn’t matter because her excitement and enthusisasm for her day were unmatched. Everything about the wedding turned out perfectly and we were so lucky to be a part of it. The weather was great and allowed us some time to run around downtown denver and get some great images of the two of them together.
