It’s been a little over a month since Andrew and I had the great pleasure of photographing Ellie and Jeff’s amazing wedding.  Ellie and Jeff first met at the coffee shop where she worked as a barista.  Pretty soon, he began showing up on a regular basis (sometimes multiple times a day) to get coffee from the beautiful woman behind the counter.  They finally ventured out on their first date…and the rest is history!  Ellie and Jeff planned to have their ceremony outdoors at the Common Ground Sculpture in the River Front Park…but when 10.10.10 rolled around the clouds rolled in as well.  Luckily, rather than having ceremony outside in the cold and rain, Ellie and Jeff were able to have their wedding in the heart of downtown Denver at the Oxford Hotel.  In the end, everything worked out perfectly…family and friends called all of the guests and everyone was in the right place at the right time!  Ellie and Jeff’s wedding day was the perfect representation of their personalities.  They both remained relaxed and calm during the unpredictable Colorado weather – and focused on the most important thing…they were getting married that day…come rain or shine…

Jeff and a couple of his friends decided to run a 5K up at Red Rocks on the morning of the wedding.  Andrew headed up to Red Rocks to get a few fun pictures of them right before the start of the race…

I’d like to personally thank whomever decided that it would be a good idea to tag the sculpture with spray paint…you rock…(and yes, I’m being sarcastic here!)  I still love this image though.

Ahhhh…fall in Colorado…

Ellie and Jeff’s reception was held in the Theatre room at the Oxford Hotel.  It’s such a great space for a warm reception…complete with a large balcony and wrought iron railings!

In lieu of a traditional wedding cake, Ellie and Jeff opted for a giant ice cream sandwich!  It was pretty entertaining to watch them try to cut it…but they made it!  YUM!

Tomorrow marks the one-month wedding anniversary of Ellie and Jeff!  They were married in a beautiful ceremony at the Oxford Hotel in the heart of downtown Denver.  Even though the weather didn’t exactly cooperate to have the ceremony outside…we were still able to sneak out for a few fun portraits of Ellie and Jeff!  More pictures coming soon…enjoy! :)

Meet Ellie and Jeff!  They currently live in New Hampshire, but we were able to fit in an engagement session during their most recent trip to Denver.  Actually…the night before the two celebrated their bachelor and bachelorette parties with some of their local friends…but they were total troopers as we tromped around downtown Denver for their urban engagement pictures!  We can’t wait for their wedding next month at the Riverfront Park and Oxford Hotel…it’s going to be awesome!  Here are a few of our favorites from their session…enjoy!

Today marks the one year wedding anniversary for Becky and Kevin! It’s hard to believe that a year ago that we photographed this fun-loving couple! We met Becky and Kevin up at Red Rocks yesterday and took some anniversary pictures of the two of them. Check back in a couple of days to see some of their pictures! Becky…you are stunning! Many of our current clients, family and friends refer to you as “the gorgeous bride with the bright red lips”…just thought you might like to know that! :)

Becky and Kevin were married at the Chapel at Red Rocks. It snowed off and on during the day, leaving the Red Rocks area with the perfect dusting of snow.

Our last wedding of 2008 was Becky and Kevin’s at The Oxford Hotel and it was a perfect ending to our wedding season. We’d only met Becky once before the wedding but it didn’t matter because her excitement and enthusisasm for her day were unmatched. Everything about the wedding turned out perfectly and we were so lucky to be a part of it. The weather was great and allowed us some time to run around downtown denver and get some great images of the two of them together.
